I was excited to get this commission from Reverie, a really good quartet from my home chapter consisting of good friends.  They have a female tenor and a lead who has a gorgeous high range, so this song was perfect for them.  On this site, I’ve presented the voicing I did for them as TTBB, though it’s really ATBB – the top two parts are a bit high for normal TTBB groups.  Can you believe that Sara Bareilles was 18 years old when she wrote this song?
