From the first time I saw “Elf” the Musical (based on the hit Christmas movie starring Will Ferrell), I knew I wanted to arrange “Sparklejollytwinklejingley.” It’s got great barbershop bones, tons of fun, and sleighfuls of Christmas spirit. It’s sung when Buddy the Elf is rallying the troops at Macy’s to decorate for Santa’s arrival the next day. I finally had the chance to do it for the combined show opener for my chorus Northwest Sound, and the mixed chorus we share a chapter with, Northwest Mix. Take it as fast as you can handle it, and throw some tinsel around the stage while you sing!
